True Seeking

KATHERINE WRIGHT

Am I loving the sweetness
Of those who are near?
Am I finding divine love
In their lives to-day,
And in wisdom e'er knowing
The true to be real,
As I live by my brother,
As his place he fills?

Am I searching the wayside
For blossoms of good?
Am I seeing my brother
God's image and child?
Am I patiently seeking
His true worth to know,
As he travels his highway
That leads him to God?

Am I living the God-life
He bids me to live?
Am I telling the story,
If it need be told,
Of the love of the Father
Fulfilled now in me?
Am I letting the flood tides
Of Life, Truth, and Love
Flow forth in their fullness
To all whom I meet,
Thus bringing to earth now
Christ's healing of old?
