From childhood I was never well, and as I grew older I suffered from nerves, stomach trouble, bilious attacks, and, later, heart trouble. I could never do anything which required exertion, and was ill after a short railway journey. I loved the Bible and my church, although I could not accept all its teachings, and from time to time procured all possible books which might help me. Failure was always the result. I decided to wait until the light came.

In April, 1913, the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, was sent to me in behalf of a dear one. I opened the book, and before I had finished the first page of the Preface I knew I had found the truth. I eagerly studied the book, and healings followed—some instantaneously. From that time, eleven years ago, I have taken no medicine. Every error that has come into my experience has been met, every problem has been solved, by the realization of God's allness and of man as God's perfect reflection.

I cannot say how grateful I am for physical healing; but I am even more so for spiritual understanding and all that Christian Science means. It is an individual possession, the "pearl of great price," free to all who honestly study the works of our Leader in conjunction with the Bible. I should like to say to a wearied or discouraged brother or sister, Look up, press on, and prove, as I have done, that God is the only power, "a God at hand."
