Business
At no time in human history has the world been in greater need of a correct understanding of what it calls "business" than to-day. It has been generally accepted that want and woe always follow in the wake of war; and so the greatest statesmen and thinkers among the nations are to-day attempting to put the world's business on a sound, normal basis.
While yet a lad, the true nature of business was revealed to Christ Jesus; and he ever remained true to the revelation. In the second chapter of Luke it is related that while still at a tender age he accompanied his parents to Jerusalem, to be present at the feast of the Passover, a yearly memorial celebration carried out according to Mosaic law. Thus early in his career, "the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him."
Never for an instant did Jesus forsake his Father's business, to gratify the wishes of those who would have directed his activities along less spiritual lines. He knew that he still had work to do in Jerusalem for his heavenly Father; and so it came about that he was found "in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions. And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers."
