"Let the redeemed of the Lord say so." It is in obedience...
"Let the redeemed of the Lord say so." It is in obedience to this divine command that I take this privilege and opportunity of expressing my deep gratitude for the great blessing Christian Science has been to me for the last twelve years. I did not take up this study through any thought of personal benefit, but because my husband, who first became interested in it, wished me to study with him. I was not opposed to it in any way, and so began studying the Lesson-Sermons, reading the literature, and attending the services. Soon after this my husband was stricken with strangulated hernia, and I was privileged to witness his wonderful healing, after a prominent surgeon had stated that a serious operation was imperative. This experience, and my gratitude for his healing, made me willing and anxious to apply this truth to my own needs.
With the help of a practitioner I was healed of chronic constipation in about ten days, after years of battling with materia medica. Since then I have been healed of tonsillitis and laryngitis, from which I had frequently suffered, and of two very severe attacks of inflammatory rheumatism. Sick headaches have been almost entirely overcome, also the belief of susceptibility to colds.
I am inexpressible grateful for all of these physical healings, but there is a still deeper sense of joy and gratitude for the spiritual healing,—for growth in understanding and realization of God's omnipresence and omnipotence. I am also grateful for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church; for the Christian Science periodicals; and for all the other channels through which we gain greater unfoldment of this truth, with the comforting assurance that while we are struggling with our problems nothing can "separate us from the love of God."
