Last summer, during a holiday in the south of England, I was staying in the home of relatives who were very skeptical with regard to what they thought Christian Science to be, and I was therefore particularly anxious to avoid anything which might arouse criticism. But early one morning I awoke feeling very ill. I at once took up "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy and began to try to realize the truth of being, as we are taught to do in Christian Science. By breakfast time I was no better; and, as the morning went on, fear took possession of me, for I seemed very far away from the Christian Science atmosphere of my own home. As I was to make a journey that afternoon, I had a telegram sent to my parents asking for help. About an hour and a half later I was completely healed, and never had any return of the sickness.

Christian Science came into my life when I was seven years of age. I have had no medicine or material remedy of any kind since that time, but have been cured through Christian Science of measles, whooping cough, mumps, blood poisoning, and several attacks of influenze. Christian Science has also taught me that, as Mrs. Eddy says on page 235 of Science and Health, "it is not so much academic education, as a moral and spiritual culture, which lifts one higher."

The Christian Science Sunday School has been a great help to me. For it, and for all the good that has come to me through Christian Science, I am deeply grateful to God, to Christ Jesus, and to Mrs. Eddy.
