Christian Scientists grant to each individual the right to...

Christian Scientists grant to each individual the right to his personal opinion of Christian Science, but they rightfully object to the assertion that "Mrs. Eddy ... was very far from having the truth in her mixture of philosophical words," as made by a clergyman, according to the published report. This allegation is a matter that cannot be decided by mere opinion. It must be decided by proof; and the only authentic proof is that ordained by Christ Jesus when he said: "Every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. ... Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them."

Christian Science, as discovered and founded by Mrs. Eddy, is well and favorable known in practically every community. It has proved its place in human experience by its works both in healing sickness and in overcoming sin. The lives and character of students and adherents of Christian Science bear unimpeachable testimony as to the truth and efficacy of its teachings.
