For the very great help I have received through Christian Science I wish to express my gratitude. I suffered for many years from what the doctors called mental depression and intestinal disorders. None of the treatments I tried—hydropathic and electric, and an intestinal operation—brought me lasting relief. Every relapse of the sickness was worse than the former attack, and I was left without hope of ever being well again. While living in New York I had heard of Christian Science, but never gave it serious attnetion, thinking that it could not help me. Only after continued illness, and after returning to Switzerland unable to work or hold a position, did I turn to Christian Science, feeling that this was the only thing left for me to try. I had treatment from a loving practitioner and improved steadily, although progress was slow. I now know this was necessary to keep me studying the truth. After a while my wife also took up the study of Christian Science, which of course was very helpful to our mutual growth. I have now been entirely well for the last two years, and have kept a business position throughout that time. All this I owe to Christian Science.

I am very grateful to Mrs. Eddy, who has revealed to us this wonderful truth about God and man, and to the loving practitioners, who so very patiently have helped me along the road. I sincerely desire to put into practice the Science which helped me when everything else had failed.
