The Christian Science church discourages premature testimonies of healing effected through its religious teachings. The testimonies published in The Christian Science Journal and the Christian Science Sentinel are carefully investigated before publication, and their authenticity is usually certified by at least three dependable people known to the responsible officers of the church. I have on file in my office numerous statements from reliable citizens of this state setting forth the fact that as a result of Christian Science treatment they have been healed of diseases diagnosed as serious by regular medical practitioners.
