Letters from the Field

"One of the first thoughts that came to me on entering the precincts of the Christian Science sanatorium was, 'Underneath are the everlasting arms.' This well-equipped, well-ordered home provides a refuge for storm-tossed travelers on their journey to a higher sense of God and man. It is indeed a spot where shelter, care, and protection are conspicuously reflected through practical demonstration of the government of divine Love. Here, individual problems may be worked out according to the rules of Science, as presented by a system of metaphysical healing inaugurated by our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy. Human concepts are spiritualized and improved when brought under this wise control, where all moves are made in accordance with the demands of divine Love.

"To share in the activities as an associate, a guest, or a practitioner offers opportunity for advancement in true understanding, and renders one better fitted to carry the good tidings of 'God with us' to others whose vision of reality seems yet distant and uncertain. Those who come seeking Truth find in the Christian Science sanatorium a welcome untrammeled by opposing elements which tend to shut out the healing Christ.

"For even a brief stay in this purified atmosphere, it is my joy to express grateful appreciation. Uniform courage, hope, and helpfulness glow in every heart and inspire the daily tasks. To share this privilege is to bless one's self and aid the demonstration of the home.
