"Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be...
"Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you," we read in Jeremiah. I thank God that I am gradually overcoming evil, both mentally and physically, by striving to obey. I was enabled, not long ago, to overcome within a few days a severe attack of indigestion accompanied with pains and fever, also severe burns on the right hand and foot caused by boiling water just off the fire. Truth prevailed; the pain ceased quickly, and the flesh was never raised.
I thank God that I am also being enabled to return good for evil, since my desire is to walk in all the ways that He commandeth. I have been lately healed of kidney trouble through absent treatment from a practitioner. My desire is to keep on in the narrow way. It is now twenty-one years since I became interested in Christian Science, and many have been the proofs of God's protecting care. I have been seemingly alone all these years. I remember once, about seven years ago, when passing through some deep trials, one who had become greatly interested in Christian Science saying to me: "The devil may have built a wall all around us, but he cannot roof it. Look up!" Those words were precious, and still are. To-day I thank God for this: error cannot hinder my thoughts from soaring, or my fingers from writing.—(Mrs.)Margarette Henrileana Rhule, Costa Rica, Canal Zone.
