In Deuteronomy we read, "The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms." This truth was proved to me one morning not long ago when a heavy piece of furniture fell upon my foot, breaking a bone in the great toe. The help of a Christian Science practitioner was asked, and in a very few minutes I was able to go on with my household duties. It was not until evening that I removed my shoe, and found that the bone was broken and the piece sticking out. No material aid was used in any way, nor did the incident interrupt my further work. This occurred on Saturday morning. On the following Wednesday I was able to attend the testimony meeting as usual, wearing my regular shoe. It was necessary for me to take a five-minute walk to and from the car. From that time the healing has been perfect, and I have had no further trouble from the toe. This is but one of many proofs of the healing power of Truth, which has been demonstrated for me and for other members of my family.

I am sincerely grateful to our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for her clear understanding and consecrated life, which makes it possible for us to follow her to-day.
