Letters from the Field

"After enjoying the hospitality and blessings of the Christian Science sanatorium for over two months, I want to express my gratitude to our dear Leader for making such a haven possible. I have never written a letter of thanks with more gratitude and enthusiasm than I am writing this one. I want to express my appreciation for every courtesy that was extended to me while I was a guest in the home, and for the love reflected by every one connected with that establishment.

To enter the sanatorium burdened with seeming problems and see them disappear, one by one, makes one realize what a privilege it is to be a guest in such a love-abiding place. The opportunity to prove what we have gained while there presents itself the very moment we leave. Fortified with a clearer understanding of Truth, one can 'meet every adverse circumstance as its master' (Science and Health, p. 419). To enjoy the harmony of a household where Truth governs has been an inspiration to me to model my own after this one. I am taking this means of expressing my gratitude to the Manager of the Christian Science sanatorium, for the graciousness, loving-kindness, and tenderness extended to me as a guest in the home. I shall never forget it.
