We read in the gospel of Matthew, "The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up." It is with great desire to testify publicly to the healing and saving power of Christian Science that I give this testimony.
I received part of my education at the Northwestern University of Chicago, Illinois, spending five years in the study of medicine and dental surgery. Some years later, I suffered from a sunstroke, which left me suffering from paralysis and unable to walk, without help, for a number of months. From that time on, during the summer months, I was subject to fainting spells, which would leave me unconscious for hours at a time. Valvular heart lesions followed. This, with my other troubles, weakened my mental resistance. I was unable to sleep or rest. Medicine in all its branches failed to bring relief.
Four years ago last June I suffered from my last attack of these troubles. The attack was by far the worst I had had; and my wife and I as a last resort decided to turn to Christian Science. None of my family knew anything about Christian Science. My wife called a Christian Science practitioner, who told her to come to her at once. When she returned, half an hour later, I was sleeping restfully. My healing had been instantaneous. The next morning I dressed and went to my office, fully recovered, mentally and physically.
