Open Letter from the Board of Lectureship

Dear Friends and Fellow-Workers:

As previously noticed in the Sentinel of June 21, 1924, The Christian Science Board of Lectureship—its members being assembled in annual conference—has decided to return to the original plan for the calling of lecturers and the arrangement of lecture schedules. This has been done pursuant to an earnest endeavor to realize the guidance of Principle, and so to work aright.

This action—as also previously stated—discontinues the zoning system and permits all members of the Board of Lectureship to consider the acceptance of calls from the various parts of the field at any season of the year. Involving, as this does, an entire change from the method in use during the last three years, we deem it wise to emphasize the fact that it now becomes necessary for the clerks of branch churches and societies to correspond directly with the individual lecturer desired, at the address given for him in the lecture circular; and it will greatly facilitate the making of arrangements to have calls placed early, on or before the first of August if possible.
