[Written for the Sentinel. Original poem in German]

Truth, Love, Life

'T is brought to pass! I am made whole!
God's mercy is no stinted dole!
He spake, "Let there be light," for thee!
My heart, what greater joy wouldst see?

When Truth's blest light on thee arose,
Which through prophetic vision glows,
No longer dreamt thou God sends ill,
While every hour His mercies fill.

This light of Love, Love unconfined,
Pure Spirit, infinitely kind,
Impelling thee o'er self to rise,
And all that God's all-power denies;

This light of Life, too, recognize,
Which God eternally supplies;
Which radiates in health, joy, peace,
On all who seek for sin's surcease.

For Truth, Love, Life, resistless three,
From error's thrall shall set thee free.
Thou 'rt pardoned, reconciled, and healed,
If every thought to Christ thou yield.
