In 1912, I was a complete wreck with a nervous trouble
In 1912, I was a complete wreck with a nervous trouble. I was the wife of a physician, and after he had done all he could, he took me to a specialist in Chicago, who treated me for one year; and still I continued to grow worse. I could not and did not sleep for five months, even with the use of hypnotics; nor could I be left alone. I was afraid of everything; lost flesh until I weighed only ninety pounds; could not walk without great effort, as my limbs felt bound; and was practically a mental wreck. I took up Christian Science and called on a practitioner, and in time was healed. I am in better health than ever before.
I am thankful to God, the Giver of all good, and to Mrs. Eddy, our beloved Leader; also, to the practitioners for all their help. My husband, convinced by my healing and that of others, has taken up the study of Christian Science. We study the Lesson-Sermon from the Christian Science Quarterly every morning; and on Sundays many others are with us. I am happy to know what I do about Christian Science.
