Christian Science is not a pantheistic religion

News

Christian Science is not a pantheistic religion. Pantheism may be defined as a belief that God, or Life, is united with matter, or is in matter. Christian Science teaches that God is the sole creator of the spiritual universe, wholly apart from a so-called material creation. God does not create matter. Christian Science further declares that God is infinite Love, limitless Life, a fact which destroys any belief in a finite, personal God. It denies the reality of sin in order to overcome sin. Such denial acknowledges God's forgiveness of sin, because only when sin is destroyed is it really forgiven. Christian Science acknowledges that salvation comes through Christ, Truth, now, as it did when Jesus of Nazareth demonstrated the power of God in healing the sick and overcoming sin over nineteen centuries ago.
