Letters from the Field

"I wish to express my gratitude for the great privilege of living in the Christian Science sanatorium for two weeks. When I applied for admission I had been suffering for some time with a lame arm and shoulder. Before the time came to enter the home I had improved, with the help of a Christian Science practitioner. After reaching the home I felt the pain only a few times; and now it seems like a dream.

"The peace and harmony and love manifested there it is impossible to forget. From the first hour I felt a strong sense of security. It seemed like a new world to me,—a heaven on earth. The harmony in which the necessary work is done is very noticeable. The sweet helpfulness of the nurses, the courteous and willing service of the other associates, constantly indicated the practical application of Christian Science. It was a joy to me to find the letter of Christian Science subordinated to the spirit. The services on Sunday and Wednesday, and a lecture, added much to the enjoyment and blessing.

"The fine variety of food each day showed that loving care is exercised in its planning, preparation, and service. In this was manifested in no uncertain sense that Love meets all human needs.
