My first physical healing in Christian Science was of tonsillitis. It was instantaneous. I had suffered from this disease from early childhood. Since the healing I have been entirely free from its recurrence. This demonstration led my husband and me to a more earnest study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, with the result that we have relied upon Christian Science for the eradication of all inharmonious conditions for a number of years, always finding the solution of each problem, whether small or great, an added proof of "God with us." Very recently, we had the joy of seeing what seemed to mortal sense a terrific prairie fire suddenly die down within a short distance of farm buildings. The same fire swept over a newly seeded field of rye, many declaring the rye to be injured; but to-day it is beautifully green and growing. I am so grateful that Christian Science has taught us to "deny the evidence of the material senses," as Mrs. Eddy says on page 39 of "Unity of Good." Through the realization that all of God's ideas, from the least to the greatest, are protected and governed by Him, a deep and serious-looking barbed-wire cut upon the foot of a work horse was healed within two days after the occurrence. Other errors have been successfully met with farm animals.

Four years ago, by the efficient work of a practitioner, I was healed of influenza. The practitioner arrived at my bedside when to mortal sense I seemed near passing away, but in two days I was up and about the house. As we were the only Scientists in our small town, there seemed much suggestion present regarding evil after results; consequently, three weeks later I was shocked to find my hair loosened and falling out. I gave room to self-pity at the condition and chagrin for not having had a perfect demonstration, and mentally suffered accordingly, until such messages of Truth were brought to me that the mental condition was overcome. In less than two months my hair was again normal, except for length.

I wish to express my appreciation of the Christian Science periodicals. Coming to us who are away from church privileges, they bring wonderfully comforting messages. I am sincerely grateful to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for presenting to this age Christian Science, which has revealed to us an ever present God of love.
