About two years ago while I was camping, the container in my gasoline stove exploded, covering me with the gasoline, which ignited my clothing. The flames were extinguished; and in spite of the excruciating pain, which lasted about an hour, I steadfastly held to the truth. This happened at one o'clock in the afternoon, while I was preparing luncheon for my family and some friends. At three o'clock I was able to continue my duties, finish the cooking and serving, knowing all the while that "love never faileth." Within a week all evidence of the accident had disappeared; and not half a dozen people on the camping grounds, outside my family and the friends who witnessed it, knew what had taken place. This was a wonderful proof of the protecting power of Christian Science; and words cannot express my gratitude.

I have been healed of tonsillitis, chronic sick headaches, constipation, and many other ailments; also of the sins of resentment, hatred, self-will, and temper. For all these healings I am so thankful; and for the spiritual uplift, which gives us that peace "which passeth all understanding," I am indeed grateful. Gratitude is expressed also for the privilege of membership in The Mother Church and a local branch church, and for class instruction. My heart is filled with thanks to God for all these blessings that have come through the study and application of Christian Science as found in the Bible, in our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and her other writings; and I thank God for our revered Leader.
