It was when in the wilderness of materialism that Christian Science came to me. I read the literature eagerly, for every page seemed to be cooling water to quench a thirst. My first awakening was when I found that our loving Father-Mother God sends neither sorrow nor discord to His children. Love and trust came with this understanding; then a reliance on divine Principle, as taught by Mrs. Eddy, brought freedom from ills, a proof that we can put into practical use the teachings of Jesus. My three children and I have had many healings. Mumps and whooping cough have been cured in two days; hemorhage stopped; cuts healed; fevers overcome; in fact, we have seen almost every illness cured to which children are believed to be subject.
When my little daughter broke her arm, the pain left as soon as help was asked from a Christian Science prac titioner, and she had no pain or discomfort during the time it was in a cast. My oldest son recently came home from school so ill that he could hardly stand. Help was asked of a practitioner. At six o'clock he was delirious, and this condition lasted until midnight, when he went to sleep. He woke up in the morning well, ate a normal breakfast, and has been well ever since. Lost articles of much value have been found through the application of the understanding of the truth. Christian Science has given me a better disposition, and freed me from a sense of discord and worry, giving me joy and peace. I am grateful to God for the many blessings that have come to me through Christian Science; grateful to Mrs. Eddy for revealing to us this truth, and to the practitioner who so lovingly helped and encouraged me in undertaking this journey Spiritward.
(Mrs.) Minnie E. Wilson, New Orleans, La.
