I feel privileged to express my gratitude to God for...

I feel privileged to express my gratitude to God for the thought, "Freely ye have received, freely give." Like many other persons, my sister and I had struggled and suffered under the erroneous beliefs of life in matter until a few years ago, when we became interested in Christian Science. Through the patient and loving help of practitioners, and the study and application of the truth, many mountains of sin, sickness, limitation, and loss have been removed. My sister has been healed of strangulation of the bowels, influenza, pneumonia, and many other ills. I have been healed of the necessity of wearing glasses, of the use of liquor, and of ptomaine poisoning.

For over two years I tried in every conceivable way to adjust my affairs so that I could attend the Wednesday evening testimony meetings regularly; but apparently to no avail, my business necessitating my absence from every other meeting. One day the thought came to me, Am I reflecting God as I should? If I am really sincere and earnest in my desire, and obedient to God's spiritual law, the activity of good, then nothing can hinder me from realizing the truth of the situation. So I just cast it out of my consciousness and left it to Him. Eight days subsequently, my problem was solved. The business was adjusted without any effort or thought from me; and each Wednesday evening finds a seat occupied by me at the meetings. For the blessing and privilege of that demonstration over the belief of limited time and space I am indeed most grateful.
