With a heart full of gratitude to God, I bear testimony to the permanent healing efficacy of Christian Science. For over sixteen years Christian Science has been a source of health and happiness to me, and I have looked absolutely to nothing else for my every need.

I tried three of the best physicians and two of the best throat specialists in Spokane, Washington, and other physicians before I went there; and each of these men told me that he could do no more for me. I had operation after operation on my throat, and was constantly under the care of doctors for my stomach; but my condition grew worse, until I was losing hope of ever having a well day. One afternoon when I came home from seeing the last physician who diagnosed my case, a neighbor suggested Christian Science, saying if it did me no good it would certainly do me no harm. At once I was ready to accept what is the greatest thing that can come into any one's life, though I did not know it at that time,—Christian Science. I was willing to try anything that pointed to better health. A friend of this neighbor, who was a very earnest student of Christian Science, was called over the telephone, and the result of this conversation was that this lady visited my home. She told me some beautiful things about God, which seemed to me then too good to be true.

An appointment was made with a practitioner, who also told me some wonderful things about God and man's relation to Him, and gave me a treatment. At once I began to see life from a different viewpoint, and felt hopeful of being well again. During our conversation I said I had not enjoyed a meal for two or three years. In reply, she told me to eat dinner that evening and fear no ill effects from it. I did so because I believed what she said would prove to be true; and it did. From that day to this I have enjoyed all my meals, and can eat any food placed before me.
