Human psychology deals solely with the action, modes, and methods of the so-called human mind. Christian Science, on the other hand, is based altogether upon the Bible teachings that the one God and creator of all that is true or real is infinite, perfect intelligence, or divine Mind; that man is made in the image and likeness of God, as the Bible states, and is therefore spiritual, or divinely mental, in nature and being. Christian Science teaches how this fact as to man may be proved; which teaching teaching simply and concisely expressed in the Scriptural injunction, "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus." Obviously, this is not a material psychological endeavor or process, but is spiritual in its nature, activity, and effect. On page 467 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" Mrs. Eddy writes: "It should be thoroughly understood that all men have one Mind, one God and Father, one Life, Truth, and Love. Mankind will become perfect in proportion as this fact becomes apparent, war will cease and the true brotherhood of man will be established. Having no other gods, turning to no other but the one perfect Mind to guide him, man is the likeness of God, pure and eternal, having that Mind which was also in Christ." Christian Science is not, then, human or material psychology, but is a purely spiritual and wholly logical religious teaching, so practical that by it the sick are healed and the sinning saved from the sins which have bound them. Christ Jesus said, "By their fruits ye shall know them."
