About ten years ago, I first became interested in Christian Science through a friend; and through reading "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and the kind help of my friend, I was healed of asthma, from which I had suffered for thirty-eight years. During these ten years I have received many blessings, and should like especially to mention a beautiful healing I experienced five years ago.

I was returning home from a call, walking quickly, when within a short distance from my home my feet became entangled in some twine, which threw me against the curb at a crossing. I received a severe blow on the right knee; and it was some minutes before I was able to get up. When I did rise, I was in great pain; but by resting ever few minutes I at last reached home. Upon examining my knee I found it very much swollen, and there appeared to be a displacement of the kneecap. I was unable to sleep that night; and in the morning a friend called a Christian Science practitioner, who lovingly came at once. After having treatment, I felt very much rested. On leaving, the practitioner gave me my copy of Science and Health to read. In a short time I fell asleep, and slept about two hours. On awaking I found I had no pain, and that the swelling in the knee had disappeared and the bone was in place. I was able to walk, and have never had any trouble with it since.

This is only one of the many proofs I have received of God's love and protecting care. Our revered Leader's beautiful words, "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need" (Science and Health, p. 494), are a daily help to me.
