[Written for the Sentinel]

Triumphant!

O God, be merciful to me!
I daily strive to love but Thee.
Though error tries to dim my sight,
I know I shall be led aright.

O God, help me to do Thy will,
And keep me from all want or ill,
To run triumphant in the race!
And view the glory of Thy face.

O God, the light has broken through!
The clouds of sense, now small and few.
I follow in Thy paths of grace,
And run triumphant in the race!
