The Pharisees once asked Jesus' disciples, "Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners?" As of yore, Christ, Truth, is continually inviting all who "labour and are heavy laden" to the "feast of love," spoken of in a hymn. It was in September, 1916, that I accepted an invitation to attend a Christian Science testimony meeting, having heard of Christian Science only two weeks prior to this. Although I understood very little of the service, it left a deep impression on me, especially when a practitioner, to whom I was introduced that evening, gave me "a cup of cold water in Christ's name," in obedience to our Leader's words on page 570 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." Full of joy and newborn hope, I carried the glad tidings home to my suffering wife. Since then my wife, our two children, and I have depended entirely on Christian Science. We have been benefited physically, mentally, and morally through the study of the Bible and Science and Health and the help lovingly given by a Christian Science practitioner.

Results of wrong thinking, like chronic headache of more than thirty-five years' standing, liver, heart, and stomach trouble, extreme nervousness, fear, limitation, resentment, the smoking and drinking habits, and many other discordant conditions, have yielded to the truth. I have been liberated from former mistaken views, which I had entertained as supposedly manly qualities, thus enabling me to be truer to myself and to my fellow-men. A deep sense of gratitude for the many proofs we have had of our dear Father's loving care helps us along our journey from sense to Soul. I thank God for all that Christian Science has done and is doing for me and for all mankind.
