It is recognized by all that discord is no part of harmony in music. Even so, Christian Science teaches that God is the divine Principle of all harmony, and therefore that discord with man is as abnormal as in music, and is displaced by the understood presence, power, and activity of the divine Principle of man, the one God, who, according to the Psalmist, "healeth all thy diseases." Mrs. Eddy's words, written on page 111 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," will be appropriate and clarifying in this connection: "Christian Science is natural, but not physical. The Science of God and man is no more supernatural than is the science of numbers, though departing from the realm of the physical, as the Science of God, Spirit, must, some may deny its right to the name of Science. The Principle of divine metaphysics is God; the practice of divine metaphysics is the utilization of the power of Truth over error; its rules demonstrate its Science." The verity of this statement can be proved by any honest seeker after truth, as it has already been attested by great numbers of Christian Scientists, among whom are some of the best known and highly respected citizens in this and every community.
