[Written for the Sentinel]

"Behold, the kingdom of God is within you"

I KNOW where to gather the far-away bluenessOf valleys and mountains, and find all the raptureOf clouds, as they sail on the wings of the tempest,Where to breathe in the silence of bare-bosom'd uplands,And rejoice in the freedom of measureless skies.

I know where the flowers forever are blooming,And the dew is conceiv'd for the heart of a rose,Where the sunrise is fashion'd in marvelous splendor,And the night is aglow with the glory of Spirit,And the sea is a song in the bosom of God!
