About eight years ago I was surely hungering and thirsting after righteousness. The church of which I was a member did not seem to satisfy me, and I began searching for one that would meet my religious needs. In my search, I was told of Christian Science. I found it to be just what I needed; and since that time I have had many proofs of the correctness of its teachings and of its healing power.

My first healing took place after reading a few days in "Miscellaneous Writings" by Mrs. Eddy. This was a surprise to me, for I had not thought of physical healing for myself. I had worn glasses for seventeen years, because of an injury to my left eye, the sight of which was so dim that I could only distinguish light from darkness. Opticians had told me that I should always have to wear glasses, as the sight would entirely disappear from that eye, and that condition would cause the other one to grow weaker. While reading this book, I laid aside my glasses, as they seemed to brother me; although before this time I could not read without them. That was eight years ago. I have never needed them since, and my eyes are stronger than ever. I could not understand this healing at the time; but the more I studied the Bible and Mrs. Eddy's writings, the more I knew that it was "divinely natural," to quote our Leader's words on page 591 of Science and Health.

I am grateful for this and for many other healings I have had; but I am more grateful for the regeneration that is taking place in my consciousness. I am grateful for the privilege of membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church; for the loving help received from practitioners and friends; and for class instruction, which has been a wonderful help to me in obtaining a better understanding of this truth, and has made me realize how thoughtful Mrs. Eddy was to provide these different avenues through which we may obtain help. I am grateful to God for all these blessings, for I realize that all good is from God. I am grateful to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, and to Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science.
