'Tis Good to Know

EMILY WRIGHT HOOD

'Tis good to know that God is Life.
Intelligence supreme
Is not the mortal dream,
But Mind that knoweth all,
And man's not error's thrall.
'Tis good to know that God is Life.

'Tis good to know that God is Truth.
The carnal mind but tries
To snare us with its lies.
It has no basic law
Of hate, to overawe.
'Tis good to know that God is Truth.

'Tis good to know that God is Love.
In all His universe,
There is no fatal curse
To make His children fear
Another power, drear.
'Tis good to know that God is Love.
