One morning, I injured my foot with a pitchfork

One morning, I injured my foot with a pitchfork. We are told in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy (p. 397), "Declare that you are not hurt and understand the reason why." I did this, and went about my work; but in the afternoon my foot began to pain me. By six o'clock the pain was so intense I was unable to bear my weight on the foot. I was alone in the house, and it was all I could do to get to the telephone to call a Christian Science practitioner. I asked for treatment and was told it would be given immediately. I was relieved at once; and by ten o'clock I was able to bear my weight lightly on the foot. The next morning I was about my work, and telephoned the practitioner that further treatment was not needed.

Last fall, I had what I thought was a boil on the back of my neck; but it later proved to be a carbuncle. I tried to meet this through my own understanding of Christian Science, but after two days and nights of suffering I decided to call a practitioner. The pain was so intense I was unable to get any rest or sleep. From that time I had no pain. Every discordant condition, such as weakness and stiffness of the neck, was quickly met. I was unable to work for about two weeks, but was out of doors part of the time.

I am very grateful for these healings, and for others that I have had in the two years I have been interested in Christian Science.—C. E. Buck, Rochester, N. Y.
