I am very grateful for all that Christian Science has...
I am very grateful for all that Christian Science has done for me. I began the study of it four years ago. For eighteen years I had been doctoring for constipation, together with its many ill effects of almost constant headaches, bilious attacks, and nausea, also nervousness. Through those many years I tried materia medica, electric and Turkish baths, and also osteopathy, taking three treatments a week for six months, but receiving only temporary relief.
Christian Science was presented to me; and in one week, with the loving aid of a practitioner, not only was I healed of constipation, but I was also able to lay aside glasses which I had used for ten years when doing close work. Words can never express my gratitude for the physical freedom I have since experienced; but with it has also come a spiritual regeneration. I have found the Father-Mother God, who is ever present, all-knowing, and all-powerful.
The Bible has become an open book to me, when I read it with "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I am thankful for membership in The Mother Church, also in a branch church, for I know that this privilege of membership helps me to be a better woman. My desire is to live each day so that my light may shine before men and they may glorify my Father-Mother, God.
