Christian Science came to me in the year 1908 when I was suffering from a skin disease. I went to a Thanksgiving service and heard such wonderful testimonies of Christian Science healing that I decided to ask a practitioner for help. I had treatment for several months and admitted that I could sleep, which I could not do before; but the disease was spreading all over the body, and this caused me great fear. Yet I knew there was no help for me in materia medica. One day I asked the practitioner if there was anything I could do, and she answered, "Study the Lesson-Sermons." I was obedient; and from that time on the disease gradually disappeared, although it was over six months before I was completely healed.

I have always been very grateful for this slow healing, as I gained an understanding of Christian Science that I might not have gained had I experienced an instantaneous healing.—(Miss) Rose M. Wickert, Chestnut Hill, Mass.
