With gratitude in my heart to God and to Christian Science, I give my testimony. I was healed of stomach and bowel trouble after suffering for about twelve years, during which time I sought help of doctors and specialists. I took great quantities of medicine, followed the advice of kind friends, then wenf looking for health in different places, and as a last resort fasted for three weeks; but these things did not heal me, and each experience brought increased fear and despondency. About this time a good and valuable friend began coming to our home and talked about Christian Science. His arguments seemed strange and without meaning; but thanks to divine Love this friend kept coming, and one evening left The Christian Science Journal. Then one night, when no one was around, I took it up and read the first article; and in this article were the words of Mrs. Eddy in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 229), "Disease is unreal." These were the first words of truth about disease that I had ever heard. I began to improve at once, and was healed, made well and strong, in less than three months through reading the textbook.

Many blessings have come since then; all things have been made better. I cannot tell in words my high esteem for Mrs. Eddy, for through her writings I am learning to know the living and ever present God, who is Love, and who healeth all our diseases and never faileth.
