It is with a sincere feeling of gratitude that I offer the following testimony, in the hope it may lead some one to peace. For years I suffered from semi-invalidism. Different doctors diagnosed the case differently, some calling it gallstones, some stomach trouble, some nervousness, others a combination of chronic ailments. Change of climate and altitude failed to give me relief. Finally, in 1914, I was in such a state that doctors gave up hope. After a consultation, my family was told to prepare for the worst, giving me only a short time to live. I was starving to death. Even specially prepared foods could not be digested. It was in this extremity that Christian Science came to me through a friend. There being no practitioner in the town, I wrote to one, and help was lovingly given. The answer to my letter came in the afternoon. After reading it, I asked my daughter to serve me some steak, potatoes, and gravy. I ate with no feeling of distress, after having lived for months on raw eggs and extract of beef. Three days later I was up and around. In about a week I was doing part of the housework. Since that time I have never suffered a return of the trouble.

We have received many other benefits from Christian Science, including recovery of "lost" articles and financial aid. During the influenza epidemic our daughter, who was away at school, was a victim. Surrounded by medical thought, it seemed she must give in, as she was forbidden to remain in the dormitory unless she entered the infirmary. Just at this time a fellow-student, who was interested in Christian Science, offered to take her into her home. Gratefully our daughter accepted. She had only Science help, and her recovery was complete in a week; while others were out of school much longer.

These are only a few of the blessings received. The peace and comfort found in the realization that God is the source of all good, the ever present help in all trouble, cannot be measured.
