Four years ago, a Christian Science Sentinel was presented to me to explain the correct meaning of "heredity." I had never before seen a Christian Science periodical, and looking it over carefully, I opened it and began to read the first article. I soon became absorbed in the reading, and from it gleaned the thought that matter has no sensation. These were the first lines of Christian Science I had ever read. Prior to this reading I had been a sufferer from rheumatism for twelve years, and had exhausted every known material means to obtain relief, but unsuccessfully. With the thought that matter has no sensation I went into a room, closed the door, and, with eyes shut, quietly realized this truth. The following Wednesday found me in a Christian Science church; and hearing the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, referred to, I obtained a copy, and began the study of the Lesson-Sermons. I have been completely healed. Through the study of Christian Science my son was healed of tuberculosis and curvature of the spine, a result of double empyema which followed double pneumonia, which the medical profession declared would never be cured.

How meager are words to express how grateful I am to Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, who has given to the whole world the Christ, Truth, whereby the law of divine Principle, God, is made demonstrable and practical for all time!
