Will you kindly allow me space to reply to the letter of a clergyman, in which he criticizes Christian Science? To the material sense of his disciples, and to the Roman soldiers, Jesus died on the cross; otherwise the removal of his body would not have been permitted: but the Christ, his spiritual selfhood, the Son of God, was eternal, and, because of its unity with the Father, Jesus was able to prove finally the complete power of Mind over matter, even as he had done in a lesser degree during his ministry, in healing the sick and raising the dead.
