P/>Christian Science came into my life about seven years ago. Previously I had been under doctors' treatment for fifteen years or more. The pain at times became so bad that I could hardly stand it. During those fifteen years I had been employed as railroad conductor on different lines throughout the country and was under the treatment of different doctors; and most of them pronounced my case among the incurable ones. During one of my attacks, when suffering terrible pain, my wife asked me to let her call a Christian Science practitioner, and I consented. In less than one hour a practitioner was in the house with the Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. He explained the Bible as I had never heard it explained before. Under Christian Science treatment I began to improve; but the laws the doctors had laid down for me during the next four or five years made me afraid again, and the thing which I feared came on me, again placing me in a critical condition. Again I called for a Christian Science practitioner; and through her loving patience and faithfulness to the truth, fear was overcome. Since that time I have not lost any time from my work on account of ill health.

Christian Science has been an ever present help to me in more ways than one. It has cured me of the tobacco habit of twenty-five years' standing; also has healed me of rheumatism and constipation. I am very grateful to Christian Science; for besides the physical healing which I have experienced, it has strengthened me morally and refined my temperament. I am very grateful to God, to Mrs. Eddy, and to all Christian Scientists who have helped me.
