We have been studying Christian Science for several...
We have been studying Christian Science for several years and the blessings that have followed that study have been many. We have depended solely upon Truth for our help in sickness and in other trials that we have seemed to pass through. It has never been found wanting, but has always proved to be an ever present help.
We have three children. Two of them have been born since we began studying Christian Science, and they know of no method of treatment except Science. They have not been wholly exempt from the so-called children's diseases, but have been able to go through them with the least amount of discomfort. In Isaiah we read: "When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee." We feel that we have proved this many times.
We are grateful for the help of practitioners during this time, to whose clear, conscientious, loving work it is a pleasure to bear witness. Among many demonstrations there are three that stand out clearly. When our little girl was five years old, she had what the doctors pronounced scarlet fever, of which there was an epidemic in the city. The first day her stomach was somewhat deranged, and for a few days her temperature was somewhat above normal. There was also a slight rash; but that was all. Besides our own children, there were three children visiting at our house at the time, but no one else showed any symptom of the disease.
