I welcome the opportunity to mention a few of the many instances in which I and members of my family have been healed of disease by Christian Science treatment.
In the spring of 1915, I was suffering with severe sore throat and symptoms of general illness. I consulted a physician; and, after looking at my throat, he stated that I was probably coming down with diphtheria. He told me to call the next day when he would take a culture and have it examined. I had had the disease in 1911, and the other symptoms were exactly the same. I decided this time to ask treatment of a Christian Science practitioner, and did so. The next day, although feeling entirely recovered, I went to the physician; and upon examining my throat he seemed much surprised, and said that it appeared perfectly normal, the patches having entirely disappeared.
In the spring of 1916, our oldest daughter (then six years of age) appeared to be suffering from adenoids, having previously shown evidence of the disease. Christian Science treatment was secured; and in a short time all the symptoms disappeared, and have never recurred.
