Do you believe in Christian Science? Do you know what Christian Science is? Whatever your understanding of life—so called—and its ending in death, as we familiarly call the mystery of the ages—the one fundamental thought upon which all of Christian Science is based is this:—

"There is no life, truth, intelligence, nor substance in matter. All is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All-in-all. Spirit is immortal Truth; matter is mortal error. Spirit is the real and eternal; matter is the unreal and temporal. Spirit is God, and man is His image and likeness. Therefore man is not material; he is spiritual" (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy, p. 468). Read that quotation over again; think about it. If you are ill and suffering now, it will help you to overcome both, because Jesus' promise is, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

... It makes little difference who discovered and wrote about arithmetic, or who told you that five added to five make ten. The fact is that when you know that five added to five make ten you have taken a true step toward reaching the true basis upon which advancement in mathematics depends.
