About eleven years ago I took up the study of Christian Science for comfort after my father had passed away. The church that I had attended did not give me the comfort which I craved, and which I finally found in the Christian Science church. Through the loving help of a Christian Science practitioner, I was able to continue my studies in school when it seemed as if I were utterly unable to go on. Before I had Christian Science treatment I shrank from meeting people; but after studying "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, in connection with the Bible, I learned the truth about man as God's idea, and that I need not have any fear. My thoughts were thus lifted away from personality to divine, infinite Love, the ever present Mind.

Christian Science has healed me of the grippe, the effects of a fall, a felon on my finger, insomnia, severe headaches, and other minor ailments. I am most grateful for the spiritual understanding of God, which gives me a constant assurance that He is ever near, and ever ready to bless. Many times I have been helped instantaneously from some form of error by realizing the truth voiced by David: "He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions." —(Miss) Mary E.
