It is with gratitude and humility that I offer the testimony of healing of my little boy, as it occurred in Christian Science. He was about a year old when taken to a hospital for an operation for hernia, which did not prove successful. After he had suffered several months, I was told by four prominent physicians that he was affected with tuberculosis of the bowels, and that there was no hope for his recovery. He was again put in the hospital, and for ten months was kept on his back on a wheel chair, not being allowed to sit up for more than an hour at a time. His side had never healed from the operation; and at the end of this period he was growing worse. Everything had been done for him that these kind doctors could think of; but now I began to turn from all material aid and to seek relief in something better. Christian Science kept continually coming to my thought; and I knew it must be good from the impressions I had received of it.

While the little boy was at the hospital, my little girl, then a few months old, was very ill with mastoiditis; and I asked for help in Christian Science from a practitioner, with the result that she was completely healed in a very short time, and without any apparent pain or annoyance. Not long after this, I brought the little boy home, and asked for treatment in Christian Science for him. From the hour it was given he began to improve. In one week he was able to walk some, and sit up much of the time; and in a few weeks he was healed. To—day he is a big, strong boy of nine years, and able to enter into any kind of sport with his playmates.

For all the blessings Christian Science has brought into our lives I can never be grateful enough; also for the better understanding of God and the Bible, as revealed in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, to whom we owe endless gratitude for the reinstatement of the early Christian healing as taught by Jesus.
