During May, 1913, I was perfectly healed by Christian Science of an organic condition for which I had been doctored three years. This healing was accomplished in two weeks through Christian Science treatments. The spiritual uplift that I experienced was wonderful to me, and I am indeed grateful for it. A few months later, upon attending a Wednesday evening testimony meeting, while trying to sing one of the songs which seemed so beautiful to me, the thought came, Oh! if I could only get rid of these enlarged tonsils, which I have had since childhood as a result of diphtheria, and which have been such a source of trouble during winter months, how happy I should be, for then I could sing these songs clearly! The thought of this condition did not return to me until the following Wednesday evening, when upon trying to sing one of Mrs. Eddy's beautiful hymns, "O gentle presence" (Poem, p. 4), I discovered my voice was clear and that the enlarged tonsils had disappeared. Words cannot express my gratitude for this healing. That was nearly nine years ago, and not a symptom of the condition has ever returned.

During the year 1918, when the influenza was so prevalent my husband and two little girls. seven and nine years old, were all stricken in one day with the disease in its worst form. The children were healed in two weeks' treatments in Christian Science. My husband, who developed double pneumonia, was healed after six weeks' treatment, although he returned to the office the latter part of the third week; and furthermore he has had no return of the difficulty since. I am indeed grateful to the loving practitioner who helped in these healings, and to Mary Baker Eddy for her legacy to this age, Christian Science.—(Mrs.) Catherine C. Stoecklin.
