It is just seven years since I turned to Christian Science as the only solution to my perplexities and despair. My mother and sister had been students of Christian Science for three years, during which time I refused to hear or read a word on the subject. I was going through a time of great mental distress and unhappiness. Life was to me a burden almost beyond enduring. Truth as a solution seemed ridiculous, since God had put us into this world for His pleasure and foreknew what we were to be and do, as I then thought.

But a day came when I could stand it no longer, and I said, "Christian Science is the only thing that can help me." I wrote and asked that a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy be sent to me. Through the continued study of this wonderful book, my life has been completely changed. All the happiness and hope that is in me I owe to the teachings of Mrs. Eddy, as contained in her writings, where I have learned to know God as an ever loving, ever present help, and not the author of the evils of this world. I can never say how grateful I feel for all the blessings and healings I have had through the study of Christian Science—healings, physical, moral, and mental.—(Mrs.) Helen M.
