Some three years ago I came into a degree of understanding of Christian Science through great tribulation. Material methods had failed to heal me of a nervous breakdown, and then I sought God with all my heart and with all my strength. A man who had come a long distance to offer his assistance in helping my family and myself in a problem which had presented itself, on seeing a copy of the Scriptures in the farmhouse where we were stopping,—I went to the mountains to be cured,—invited me to try Christian Science, and he assured me that God was good. This wonderful statement opened a new world, one more bright, more merciful, more loving, and more kind, to a man who had held a different belief of God, and upon my return to the city I asked for help from a Christian Science practitioner. This was lovingly given and I was healed in one treatment.

For this and many other healings, including the overcoming of a desire for tobacco and drink, and for the overcoming of financial difficulties I am very grateful for Christian Science, as revealed to us through the works of Mrs. Eddy.
