It is nearly ten years since I learned of the beautiful truth of God's love for man as revealed by Mrs. Eddy in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." After my first reading of Science and Health I found that hay fever, from which I had suffered for many years, had disappeared. That was a direct proof to me of the efficacy of Christian Science, which from that day to this has met every need in our family. It has been invaluable in the rearing of our two children. Every form of disease which has manifested itself in our home during these years,—croup, tonsillitis, measles, carbuncles, typhoid pneumonia, and other ills,—has been speedily met and overcome. With each proof of God's allness we climb one step higher in that faith toward the spiritual understanding which will remove mountains. While sewing on the machine one day I ran the needle through my forefinger. It broke off at the eye and I removed the upper part but could not get the remainder. I therefore ran to a neighbor for help and we managed to extract it after about fifteen minutes' work. By declaring that there could be no pain, soreness, festering, or even inconvenience from it, as God is my Life and matter has no sensation, I was able to finish my sewing. I cannot fail to mention the great help Christian Science has been to our children in their school work. Each day I realize that God is their intelligence, that their success does not depend on the so-called human mind but all glory is due to God, who created all His ideas with equal intelligence.
My heart goes out in loving gratitude to God for not leaving His children comfortless and without His protection, and to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for revealing to the world that the Comforter which our Master said he would send is divine Science; also for our periodicals and pamphlets which bring us more of the understanding of this blessed truth. It is my earnest longing that suffering humanity may search for and find this blessed truth and be lifted higher in the realm of thought.—(Mrs.) Blanche Corcoran, Libertyville, Ill.
