Christian Science came to me about eight years ago when I was sorely in need of something outside of human ability to lift me out of mental, moral, and physical difficulties. My little daughter, now twelve years of age, has not known the taste of medicine for the past six years. It has been that long since she experienced a very severe sickness. At that time, on account of other members of the family, we employed one of the finest physicians in the city, but as she grew weaker under medical treatment we gave it up entirely and asked for the help of a Christian Science practitioner. The child ate a hearty dinner that evening, slept that night better than she had for many years, and from then on improved rapidly.

I thank God more than mere words can express for His wonderful love and care, and it is my constant desire to keep up the study of this new-old religion and to meet each day's trials and temptations with a strong denial of any selfhood apart from God, good. I have always had a deep reverence for Mrs. Eddy and consider her God's messenger in this age to mankind. Class instruction has been a wonderful help to me and I truly want to live so as to be worthy of the name of Christian Scientist.
