I cannot tell how grateful I am to Mrs. Eddy for restoring the truth of Christ's healing power. For years I had been a sufferer from spinal trouble. I was treated by several physicians, but it was of no avail, and so finally I was taken to a hospital and operated upon. After the operation the surgeon gave me little hope. Later I received some Christian Science literature from friends in Denver, Colorado, and it left a good impression. Soon after that I met a gentleman who had experienced a wonderful healing through the power of Truth and he gave me a pamphlet containing testimonies. Soon after this, when I was again stricken and had to keep to my bed, I made up my mind that Christian Science was what I wanted, so I called a lady who at that time was a librarian of a Christian Science reading room, and who was visiting some of my neighbors. She came and gave me treatment, and I was almost instantaneously healed. I am so grateful to be able to say that I am well and strong again. My healing took place two years ago.
